Welcome to Serare School
Founded in 1988, Serare School is a leading co-educational institution committed to nurturing the whole child; academically, physically, spiritually, emotionally and intellectually. Our Approach
We offer a balanced curriculum aligned with the Kenyan Competency-Based Education, enriched with global perspectives and experiential learning. From early years (Age 3) through to Junior School, our programs foster communication and collaboration, critical thinking and problem-solving, imagination and creativity, digital literacy, citizenship, learning to learn, and self-efficacy. We emphasize hands-on learning, collaborative projects, and real-world problem-solving in a safe and nurturing setting.
Kindergarten (Age 3 to 5)
We believe that quality early childhood education builds a strong foundation for lifelong learning and success. Our Kindergarten offers a safe, caring, and engaging space where children learn through play-based learning and guided exploration.
Rabbit Class (3 years) Introduces young learners to school life through fun, creativity, and interactive play. Rabbits are active, curious and full of energy just like 3 year olds who are learning through play and exploration.
Elephant Class (4 years) Develops early literacy, numeracy, and social skills while fostering independence and confidence. Elephants are highly intelligent with impressive memory, reflecting the cognitive skills of 4 year olds.
Giraffe Class (5 years) Prepares children for primary school with a strong foundation in reading, problem-solving, and teamwork. Giraffes are tall and graceful, perfect for children preparing to “rise higher” as they get ready for Grade 1.
Primary School (Grade 1 to 6)
Our Primary follows the local Kenyan system which is designed to nurture well-rounded learners through skills-based and value-driven education. We combine academic excellence with holistic growth, encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork.
To further equip our learners for a dynamic world, we offer Coding and Robotics, Kenya Sign Language and French. Digital literacy is integrated as part of our enriched curriculum. These subjects strengthen communication and technological skills, inspire innovation and empower learners to confidently navigate an increasingly global and digital world.
